The Ripple Effect, Inc. was founded by Donna Smith of Mooresville, North Carolina in April 2003.  We are a service focused organization making a positive impact within the community by serving those in need.

Our Business

The Ripple Effect adheres to the command Jesus gave his followers in Matthew 7:12, “do unto others as you would have them do unto you”. The original structure included assisting local business through inexpensive advertising, local charities with wholesome fundraising while allowing us to serve others.  Thus the name …“The Ripple Effect."  The Ripple Effect now primarily seeks out persons requiring our assistance and strives to meet various needs. We perform errand services, help with light housekeeping, and provide friendly visits, etc. to most anyone in need. There is never a charge for any Ripple Effect service. Working with senior citizens, disabled persons, new moms, children, those facing sudden tragedy or literally anyone who could benefit from our services is the goal. In some cases, Ripple Effect clients have little or no other source of assistance. We meet with the prospective client (and/or their family members) to gather specific details on what assistance is needed. We review our guidelines and what we do for our clients plus what restrictions we may have. Our restrictions are based on insurance regulations, medical or diet requirements, and family wishes. Next, we schedule services at a convenient time. We advise each patron donations and contributions can be accepted but are never required. We brighten their day with a friendly smile and a genuine helping hand. Most importantly, we share God’s love with them. “As each one of us has received a special gift, employ it in serving others” (Romans 12:6).  The Ripple Effect has aided dozens of local citizens, participated in major food drives and supported mission trips.  The Charlotte (North Carolina) Observer has featured the Ripple Effect in a cover story in 2004.  The Ripple Effect was incorporated in 2003 and maintains all proper insurances.

Our Mission of Service

Our mission is to create a "Ripple Effect" of helpful services throughout the community.  Our goal will be accomplished by following the teachings of Jesue in Matthew 7:12, "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you," through a team of dedicated volunteers and the prayerful support of local churches and businesses.  These efforts will allos us to provide comfort and meaningful services to those in need free of charge.
